Rackspace US, Inc. (Rackspace Technology®) holds contracts with the State of Texas through the Department of Information Resources DIR Cooperative Contracts Program.
Description
This DIR Cooperative Contracts Program allows eligible customers to purchase items directly from a DIR-contracted vendor. Customers contact the vendor for product and pricing information. They also send their purchase orders with the DIR contract number and payments directly to the DIR Cooperative Contracts Program vendor, not to DIR. This accelerates procurement of product/services by streamlining the order process. Cloud Services is a DIR Cooperative Contracts Program contract, so you can go directly to Rackspace for projects in the following areas:

Instructions for Obtaining Quotes and Placing Purchase Orders
Step 1. Customer should contact the Rackspace Representative shown below.
Step 2. Customers and vendors may work together to define service requirements, roles, and responsibilities.
Step 3. Customers should negotiate pricing of deliverables directly with vendor.
Step 4. Customers may negotiate the terms and conditions of a Service Agreement to suit their business needs, as long as the Service Agreement terms and conditions do not conflict with or weaken the terms of the contract.
Step 5. Customer issues a purchase order (PO) made payable to Rackspace US, Inc. based on the negotiated specifications in accordance with the Service Agreement, and Vendor begins work upon receipt of PO. Vendor then invoices Customer. (DIR Contract Number DIR-CPO-5186 must be referenced on the PO.)
