A leading provider of high-performance wireless networking equipment, Xirrus also manufactures centrally managed Wi-Fi hotspots for colleges and universities. The firm approached Onica by Rackspace Technology to create a cloud-based solution to support real-time retention of data, as well as monitoring and deployment automation. We also helped the engineering team to enhance its IT software using best practices and methodologies.
How we helped
Onica by Rackspace Technology worked with Xirrus to create a cloud-based solution that allowed:
- Real-time retention of data from each hotspot
- Critical visibility into its Wi-Fi infrastructure via dashboards
- Around-the-clock support, monitoring, maintenance and deployment automation
- Custom-developed infrastructure
- Utilizing Chef and AWS CloudFormation, the custom-developed infrastructure automates all aspects of the company’s complex deployment
