Moving Workloads from Your Data Center to a Hosted Private Cloud
How's this for an eye-popping statistic: of the companies surveyed last year by RightScale for its annual State of the Cloud report, fully 95 percent said they were already using the cloud — most more than one, a mix of public and private.
Of those, nearly a third are choosing private clouds for some of their workloads, as enterprises are becoming more comfortable storing even proprietary apps and sensitive business information in hosted private clouds.
Check out the infographic below to understand why more organizations are moving from their data centers into hosted private clouds. For a more in-depth understanding, check out our white paper, based on in-depth interviews with decision-makers at medium and large enterprises, in finance, health care, insurance and others.
The paper examines why certain workloads tend to reside in a data center or a hosted private cloud, the challenges of each and why companies are deploying more workloads in a hosted private cloud.
