We are thrilled to announce that Dell Technologies honored Rackspace yesterday as its Global Alliances Partner of the Year, for commitment to our mutual customers, continued focus on innovation and our strategic partnership. The recognition is the latest validation that Rackspace is a true cloud leader, meeting customers wherever they are on their transformation journey, offering two decades of unbiased cloud management expertise. Over the past year we’ve deepened our partnership with fellow industry leaders Dell EMC and VMware, for just one reason: to provide our customers with the widest set of platform options for every manner of workload. Ranging from traditional on-premise hosting to hybrid, across multiple clouds, our partnership offers customers solutions that ensure they receive optimal performance, improved total cost of ownership and the ability to choose where to run applications and access to data — in the cloud, on- or off-premise. Our commitment to our Dell Technologies relationship and our customers' success is demonstrated in our growing portfolio and continued improvements to our private cloud and managed hosting offerings. For instance, Jeff Clarke, vice chairman for Dell Technologies, stressed in his keynote yesterday at Dell Technologies World that with the tsunami of data approaching, customers absolutely must to have the ability to access their data anywhere. Toward that end, last year we enabled our managed Private Cloud based on the full VMware SDDC stack (Rackspace Private Cloud, powered by VMware), to be available everywhere on Dell EMC technologies. Customers can run their workloads on premise in their own data center, a colocation facility or a Rackspace data center. And they reap the rewards from Rackspace’s decade-plus experience managing VMware environments, with our VMware Certified Professionals managing their underlying physical hardware 24x7x365, so customers can focus on their core business, including management through the Guest OS layer. We’ve also responded to increased demand for hybrid cloud in this data driven age. Our release of Managed VMware Cloud on AWS gives customers access to new deployment models across public and private clouds. Customers leveraging our VMware and Dell EMC-based technologies are now seeing cost savings up to 40 percent over typical deployment models. We’re also helping customers use technology for good – Rackspace is proud to serve Feeding America, a hunger relief organization that rescues food using the latest technological tools to reroute it to hungry Americans. Together, Rackspace and Dell Technologies are helping solve some of the most pressing business transformation challenges facing organizations today, including getting out of the data center business, controlling IT spend, removing barriers to multi-cloud integration and dealing with security and compliance in a public cloud or across a multi-cloud environment. We look forward to continuing our initiative by developing joint cloud solutions for the enterprise with a partner like Dell Technologies.
