Rackspace Recognised as Leaders In European Managed Hosting
Having been a UK Racker for over 10 years I’m proud to see Gartner’s recognition in the Magic Quadrant for European Managed Hosting1 report, which I believe is a reflection of Rackspace’s international ambitions. In the time I have been with Rackspace we have grown to support customers across the world with data centres in the USA, UK, Hong Kong and Australia. April saw Gartner announce their Magic Quadrant for Managed Hosting, North America and for the second year we were recognised as a market leader.
Gartner have now published their Magic Quadrant for European Managed Hosting, and this is the first time Rackspace have been featured as a European player, despite this being our debut, we’re recognised as a market leader.
Engaged Rackers
Gartner assessed 15 providers of Managed Hosting for their ‘completeness of vision’ and their ‘ability to execute’. I see our position in the leaders quadrant as showing that our focus on Fanatical Support and Hybrid Cloud is giving customers what they need from a partner.
We know that engaged Rackers deliver amazing customer outcomes, so by focusing on the culture of the company we ensure we are always fanatical in what we do. In the past year over 70% of new Rackers are in our customer facing teams who are dedicated to outstanding customer delivery.
Dedicated+Cloud=Hybrid
Gartner recognises Rackspace as the managed hosting market share leader in Europe. We offer dedicated servers, public cloud and private cloud. By combining these solutions we have created the world’s first Hybrid Cloud. Hybrid Cloud allows us to build the best solution to meet customers’ exact needs, combining the security and performance benefits of dedicated hosting with flexibility and agility of cloud. When you add our legendary Fanatical Support this means that customers don’t have to accept second best for their platform or the service they receive.
I believe Gartner’s recognition is thanks to the hard work of many Rackers, specifically the support teams who deliver Fanatical Support day in day out.
