Cloud Expo Europe Round Up
Last week Rackspace had a great time at the Cloud Expo Europe 2011. As this was a brand new Cloud Expo to London, we were looking forward to meeting everyone and understanding the interest in the Cloud and if businesses are actively deploying the cloud or still considering it for use within their businesses.
What we found was there was plenty of talk around hybrid solutions (combining dedicated with cloud hosting), as well as business uses for the cloud and the usual cost/security trade off debates! In the light of our OpenStack initiative it was also interesting to discuss open source technologies for cloud computing. 
For Rackspace we really enjoyed talking to all those that dropped by our stand, thank you. Plus to all those that attended John Engates’ seminar on ‘Your Next Steps with The Cloud’ – it was certainly a full house with attendees saying it was the best session of the event!
It was good to see one of our technology partners Nimsoft at the show (who had a great caricaturist on their stand!) as well as an opportunity to see what other Cloud offerings were available in the market!
