How's this for an eye-popping statistic: of the companies surveyed last year by RightScale for its annual State of the Cloud report, fully 95 percent said they were already using the cloud — most more than one, a mix of public and private.
Of those, nearly a third are choosing private clouds for some of their workloads, as enterprises are becoming more comfortable storing even proprietary apps and sensitive business information in hosted private clouds.
