Frost & Sullivan Names Rackspace Top Asia-Pacific Managed Cloud Services Provider 4th Year Running

For the fourth year in a row, Rackspace has been recognised as the Asia-Pacific Managed Cloud Services Provider of the Year by Frost & Sullivan as part of its Best Practices Awards, held annually in Singapore.

Accepting the award on behalf of Rackspace last week was an honor. In the past five years, I have watched Rackspace grow across APAC, bringing new technology services to market, and growing the number and type of customers we serve. What hasn’t changed, however, is our commitment to our customers, helping them accelerate the value of cloud at every point along their digital transformation journey.

The Asia-Pacific Managed Cloud Services Provider award recognises best-in-class companies across the APAC region; Frost & Sullivan analysts independently evaluate each nominee against key benchmarking criteria. For this award, the judges focus on five key areas: addressing unmet needs, visionary scenarios through megatrends, implementation of best practices, blue ocean strategy, and financial performance.

Given that Frost & Sullivan’s intent with these annual awards is to drive innovation, excellence and a positive change in the global economy by recognising best-in-class products, companies, and individuals, we could not be happier to receive this award for the past four years. It is a testament to the terrific work our team is doing across the APAC region to deliver the very best in managed cloud services to our customers.

While we are immensely proud to receive this award from an organisation with such expertise and insight into our industry, we also recognise that all of our success is a reflection of the customers we serve.  The success of our customers drives everything we do at Rackspace.

Customers are at the centre of everything we do. One satisfied customer is Challenger, Singapore’s largest IT retailer. Our experts have helped them digitally transform its business to meet changing market needs, delight its customers and remain a market leader.

But don’t just take our word for it. Here’s what Challenger’s Chief Technology Officer, Joshua Woon, had to say: “Rackspace has had a great impact from the beginning. The architect and operational teams have provided us with valuable insights and technical advice, and they actually do the work and solve our issues. Rackspace can handle the architectural piece of things.”

This kind of work is why Rackspace continues to rack up awards. In the past year, we’ve also earned the Microsoft 2018 Top Managed Services Provider Partner of the Year, Greater China Region; Alibaba Cloud 2018 Expert Partner of the Year for Hong Kong; NetworkWorld Asia 2018 Managed Cloud Service Provider and the 2018 NetworkWorld Asia Information Management Awards’ Managed Cloud Provider of the Year.

Rackspace also led the pack in Gartner’s 2018 Critical Capabilities for Managed Hybrid Cloud Hosting Asia/Pacific report, so it has been a very gratifying year for our team to have received so much recognition for our efforts.

With a comprehensive portfolio of applications, data, security, and infrastructure services, Rackspace delivers the most fully-customisable IT cloud services, allowing us to meet customers where they are on their cloud journey. We firmly believe that the accolades we have received in the year are a reflection of our commitment, and it is a strategy we intend to follow for many years to come.
