LINQ
Business
New Zealand start-up success story LINQ helps businesses understand important information flows and identify opportunities for transformation. The cloud-native company offers the first tool to visualise Information Supply Chains, enabling organisations to take advantage of business information and identify ways of improving information management.
Challenges
As a startup, LINQ are constantly trying to innovate and grow with the talent and resources available. In order to scale and manage their infrastructure in line with their business growth they needed to outsource the management of their Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud infrastructure for its SaaS-based Information Supply Chain software tool and mitigate any risks for customers to ensure a smooth customer experience.
Outcome
LINQ used their own tool to calculate a six to eight month timeline if they were to migrate their infrastructure themselves. With Rackspace, they completed it in two months and it gave them the ability to scale their business quickly.
Since implementation, LINQ’s infrastructure has caught up to development timelines, while development test environments now allow for automatic deployment, reducing intervention from the systems team.
Before the move, LINQ had to define their test environments completely manually, sometimes taking up to half a day. Now, at a click of a button they can have a new test environment up within five minutes.
