Compliance Across Multiple Security Frameworks
The Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) provides a government-wide, standardized approach to security assessment, authorization and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services. All executive federal agencies and many others in the public sector are required to use FedRAMP for security validation.
In 2015, the FedRAMP Joint Authorization Board (DoD, DHS and GSA) authorized the Rackspace Government Cloud on VMware® after a thorough review by an accredited third-party assessment organization (3PAO).
From a government compliance perspective, one of the things that makes Rackspace Technology unique is that, via our FedRAMP Moderate authorization, we are able to be compliant with multiple other security frameworks including FISMA, DoD SRG IL2, IL4, DFARS, NIST 800-171, ITAR, HIPAA, PCI and SOC Type 2.
