About the Customer

OFX was founded in Sydney in 1998 as OzForex. Initially it offered information about foreign exchange, and in early 2003 it began conducting international payment transactions. Today OFX provides a global foreign exchange platform allowing businesses and individuals to transfer money at much better rates than any of the banks can provide.

Customers all around the world trust OFX. They have grown from two employees to over 200. Managing over 1 million transfers, totaling in excess of AUD $100 billion. Their global network enables customer to make a transfer and get support around the clock.

The move to AWS Cloud is part of driving an innovative culture in a heavily regulated sector. Rackspace provide a real understanding of how you run operations and provide Fanatical Support for AWS. Rackspace has a huge history of supporting production environments for thousands of companies worldwide so it was a natural choice for us. My long-term plan is to focus on what we’re really good at doing, which is developing our product - and work with our partners to support our cloud move and post-migration operations.
