Rackspace Wins Managed Cloud Service Provider from NetworkWorld Asia

Rackspace’s status as the number one managed cloud provider was reinforced this week when the company won the managed cloud service provider category at the 2018 NetworkWorld Asia Information Management Awards.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who voted for us; your continuous support of Rackspace drives us to work even harder to serve our customers.

We’re delighted to have earned this prestigious honor as recognition of our strength managing customers’ multi-cloud environments and enabling businesses to stay ahead of the digital transformation curve.

As organizations gradually move workloads onto a combination of cloud platforms as part of their shift towards adopting multi-cloud strategies, it is valuable to engage a managed cloud service provider to help align IT priorities. With Rackspace experts certified in every leading cloud technology, we are in the ideal position to help navigate and operate within these complex environments.

Our teams support and manage the world’s leading cloud platforms across AWS, Microsoft Azure, Alibaba Cloud, Google Cloud Platform, VMware and OpenStack. As part of that support, we provides 24x7x365 access to our ‘Fanatical Experience’ — the results-obsessed customer service that’s been part of our DNA for the past two decades.

Now in its seventh year, the NetworkWorld Asia Information Management Awards is widely known in the region for its work honoring Asian leaders in information security, storage and data management, and the huge advances made in these fields over the last few years.

Gene Tang, Head of Professional Services for Rackspace Asia, received the award from Alvin Aw, head of IT, Dentons Rodyk & Davidson at the award ceremony at Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel.

“Once again, Rackspace has demonstrated its ability to keep ahead in the fast-evolving business technology landscape, especially in the fastest-growing region in the world in terms of digital transformation,” said Victor Ng, Enterprise Group Editor at Questex Asia, the company that publishes NetworkWorld Asia and organizes the Awards. “As the leading managed cloud service provider, what stands out is Rackspace’s provision of ‘fanatical experience’ for its customers.”

The judging process for this award involves many important people in our field. To win we had to have the nod from leading industry players, our peers, leading journalists and NetworkWorld Asia magazine readers from the Asia Pacific region.

This award is just the latest we’ve earned across the IT industry, globally and regionally, including being named a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Public Cloud Infrastructure Managed Service Providers Worldwide.

In Asia Pacific, Rackspace earned a top spot in the 2018 Gartner Critical Capabilities for Managed Hybrid Cloud Hosting, was named a Visionary in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Managed Hybrid Cloud Hosting in 2017 and was named Managed Cloud Service Provider of the Year by Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific  in both 2016 and 2017. Datapipe, which Rackspace acquired in 2016, was named  the only Leader in the Forrester Wave: Hosted Private Cloud Services In Asia Pacific in the second quarter of 2017.
