Can’t Make it to New York City? Check Out the Rackspace::Solve Live Stream Instead

Rackspace::Solve kicks off today in New York City with a daylong schedule filled with speakers and breakout sessions focused on maintaining a competitive edge in today’s emerging multi-cloud world.

Solve conferences are a great place to get an inside look at the IT strategy and solutions fast-growing companies, including some of our most innovative customers, have successfully put to use.

If you weren’t able to make it to the conference this year, we’ve got you covered. We’re live-streaming the event, so folks from around the world can benefit from the insights and advice our experts and featured speakers will be offering throughout the day.

A full agenda for Solve can be found here — all times listed are in Eastern Standard Time. The live stream will follow events on the main stage, kicking off with the opening remarks from Rackspace CTO John Engates at 10 a.m. The keynote address from Rackspace CEO Joe Eazor and President Jeff Cotten will immediately follow.

The speaking sessions that begin after the keynote will also be streamed, as well as the IT Leadership Panel at 11:40 a.m., which includes John Engates, Google’s Director of Customer Reliability Engineering (CRE) Dave Rensin, Pivotal Software’s VP of Products Ian Andrews and Home Depot’s Application Platforms Manager Tony McCulley.

After the lunch break, the live stream will continue at 1:30 p.m. with the introductory session on Microsoft Azure Stack, led by Rackspace CTO for Microsoft Technologies Jeff DeVerter and Azure Stack’s Director of Program Management Natalia Mackevicius.

Following that session, the live stream will broadcast a thought leadership panel focused on transforming traditional businesses, which will include Rackspace CMO Carla Piñeyro Sublett, New York Times EVP and COO Meredith Kopit Levien, Medecision CTO Bill Adiletta and Aeroméxico CIO Benjamin Hernandez.

At 2:25 p.m., the breakout sessions will begin, and the livestream will follow the Public Cloud Track. The advent of hyperscale public clouds represents a significant opportunity for business advancement, however, some of the clouds greatest features are also its greatest detriments.

In these breakout sessions, attendees will learn firsthand about Rackspace’s use of the cloud as a case study, our latest addition of support for Google Cloud Platform and the things you need to do and consider to ensure your business is successful in the cloud.  A full schedule of all the breakout sessions can be found here.

The live stream will wrap up at 4:55 p.m. with featured speaker Dr. Michio Kaku, a theoretical physicist and best-selling author, as well as one of the most widely recognized scientific figures in the world.

Dr. Kaku is also an internationally recognized authority on Einstein’s unified field theory — which he is attempting to complete — and the trends affecting business, commerce and finance based on the latest research in science. He will present his session, “The Next 20 Years: How Science and Technology Are Revolutionizing Business and Our Way of Life.”
