Amanda Samuels is Rackspace's Chief Communications and Marketing Officer. Throughout her career, Amanda has led and advised organizations on marketing and communications strategies to successfully advance brand and reputation, engage critical stakeholders and achieve significant business transformation and results. She has extensive experience in brand and reputation management, corporate affairs, external communications, issues and change management, executive communications, employee engagement and strategy execution.

Before joining Rackspace, Amanda served as Chief Communications Officer for the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, where she drove a multi-year integrated brand and reputation strategy as the organization completed a successful transformation and repositioning effort.

Previous to her role at Kellogg, she was Managing Director for United Airlines prior to and during its $3 billion dollar merger and integration with Continental Airlines. Amanda led global employee communications for the company pre-merger and she was part of the management team that led integration planning for the airline.

As a consultant, she has advised on communications for several corporate transactions and led engagements advising global corporate clients and executive leaders on strategies designed to drive business strategy execution, build reputation, sustain change, improve performance and strengthen employee culture.

Earlier in her career, she also held marketing management roles with Draft Worldwide, Navistar (International Truck and Engine Corporation) and Biora, Inc.

Amanda holds a bachelor of arts degree from Michigan State University.
