Chicago Data Center (ORD1)

At 96,000+ square feet, ORD1 is one of our largest data centers. It’s located in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, just outside the city of Chicago. Fourteen carriers provide fiber-based connectivity to the site, to provide the utmost in provider redundancy. The facility is staffed 24x7x365 by our engineers, who work around the clock to manage and maintain your infrastructure. Physical protection measures include biometric scanners, video surveillance, alarm systems, key card access and laser-based smoke detection.

Network Guarantee

We guarantee that our data center will be available 100% of the time in a given month, excluding scheduled or emergency maintenance. Otherwise, we apply a 5% credit of your monthly fee for each 30 minutes of network downtime, up to 100% of your monthly fee for the affected server.

Infrastructure Guarantee

We guarantee that data center HVAC and power will be functioning 100% of the time, excluding scheduled or emergency maintenance. Otherwise, we apply a 5% credit of your monthly fee for each 30 minutes of data center infrastructure downtime, up to 100% of your monthly fee for the affected server.

Hardware Replacement Guarantee

We guarantee that replacement or repair of Rackspace-provided hardware or components will begin within one hour of problem identification. Otherwise, we apply a 5% credit of your monthly fee for each 30 minutes of downtime, up to 100% of your monthly fee for the affected hardware.
