Rackspace is prepared for the transition from IPv4 to IPv6. To make sure you have all the information
you need to understand and navigate the switch, we've created the IPv6 Deployment and Readiness Headquarters
to share all of our IPv6 resources. You can also use this page to follow Rackspace IPv6 activities and
continued progress.
To get you started and ensure that you have a clear understanding of what IPv6 is and why its deployment
is so important, we've created a video to provide you with more information about IPv6, our readiness plans
here at Rackspace and our suggestions on how you can prepare for your own deployment efforts.

World IPv6 Day at Rackspace
On June 8th, 2011, the Internet Society (ISOC),
the organization responsible for providing direction in internet related standards, education and policy, coordinated a global,
24-hour “test flight” day called World IPv6 Day.
ISOC encouraged major organizations to offer their content over IPv6 to prepare their services for IPv6 and ensure successful transitions from IPv4 to IPv6.
We’re pleased to announce that Rackspace successfully participated in this initiative as both a content and infrastructure provider.
Our global websites and My.Rackspace Customer Portal were accepting IPv6 addresses as of June 8th.

- Start constructing your list of vendor dependencies for your computing environments.
- Review the software applications for your website(s).
- Assess your configuration for any hard-coded IPv4 addresses.
