EDITOR’S NOTE: Update: We got some great feedback about the first AMA with Jesse, so we’re moving the discussion space for Alex’s AMA from the Community to http://reddit.com/r/rackspace – that way it will be easier to follow the conversation and replies. In addition, we’re tightening up the timeframe – the AMA will happen on Tuesday ONLY, and not Tuesday through Thursday as originally planned. Finally, some of the other devs who work with Alex will be lending a helping hand, so there will be plenty of developer experience on tap for everyone! Hope to see you all there next Tuesday!
OpenStack is the platform upon which Rackspace has built its open cloud. The community-driven cloud operating system, which Rackspace co-founded, has sparked an open source cloud revolution. Enabling the community of hundreds of developers to contribute code and leverage the OpenStack cloud however they want has created a shift in how applications are developed. This blog series collects insight straight from key developers on the front lines about how they became involved in OpenStack and the open cloud, and what contributions they’ve made.
I wrote on the RackLabs blog over the weekend about our first Rackspace Developers Conference and I thought I'd post a pointer to it here on the Rackspace blog too. To make a long story short, we held a big conference here in San Antonio last week for all of the Rackers who develop software here at Rackspace. We're thinking next time we'd like to invite some of our customers. Does this sound like something you'd be interested in attending?
