November brings us World Hello Day on the 21st of the month, a day to bestow simple greetings to others and express your concern for world peace. Magellan sailed into the Pacific Ocean in November of 1521, and Lewis and Clark trekked the United States from east to west and reached the Pacific this month in 1805. Scientist Marie Curie was born in November 1867. King Tut's tomb was discovered this month in 1922. The first iPod was sold in November of 2001. And, in the words of J.K. Rowling, from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, "October extinguished itself in a rush of howling winds and driving rain and November arrived, cold as frozen iron, with hard frosts every morning and icy drafts that bit at exposed hands and faces."
