The ratings feature in SharePoint is a very useful tool. An easy feedback mechanism, ratings are end-user focused and aid in self-filtering of content. They’re very simple to setup, as demonstrated by Microsoft SharePoint expert Michael Gannotti in the video above. In short, the process entails:
1. Select the given list/library settings for which you’d like to enable ratings
2. Click on the ratings settings link 3. Check “yes” to enable ratings
