How do I retrieve the public IP for a Next Generation Cloud Server that has been recently provisioned?
You can view the correct IP of your RackConnect Cloud Server in 2 places:
- Access the Overview tab for the Cloud Server in the RackConnect Management Interface in the MyRackspace portal.
- You can retrieve the correct IP through the Cloud Servers API.
Note: You should query for Server Details, and the field that contains the RackConnect Public IP address is called accessIPv4. http://docs.rackspace.com/servers/api/v2/cs-devguide/content/Get_Server_...
The Open Cloud Control Panel is NOT currently displaying the correct value, this will be fixed soon.
