Welcome to Rackspace Email & Apps! The following article is a brief overview of what you can expect upon signing up for hosted Microsoft Exchange services. First thing you'll want to do is log in to your Control Panel. The article below will give you a brief overview of your new Rackspace Email & Apps Control Panel. Let's take a Look:
Control Panel Login

Control Panel Main
Once you're logged into the Control Panel, you will see a variety of sections that showcase the products that you have signed up for (in this case Rackspace Email). Each product/service box has a variety of options and tools to choose from. Control Main includesMicrosoft Exchange Product box, My Account, Domains, Support and News & Alerts window. As you sign up for additional products (Microsoft Sharepoint, Cloud Drive) each product will show up underneath to allow you to manage it directly from the landing page.

Microsoft Exchange
The Microsoft Exchange product box provides users with various options and tools like Spam Filtering, Creating Distribution Lists, Contacts etc. For more options, you can click the More option in the right hand corner.

After you've selected the More option, you'll be presented with new options such as Mobile Messaging, Public Folders and the ability to Upgrade your services like adding more storage space to your mailboxes. We recommend getting familiar with all the features so you can utilize the product to its full potential.

Email Accounts:
- Add / Edit Mailbox - add new mailboxes for your domain
- Contacts - manage your company's Exchange contacts
- Resources - setup or reserve an Exchange room for company collaboration
- Public Folders - enable and manage your domain's public folders
- Mobile Messaging - Add Active Sync and BES licenses for users on your domain to sync email, contacts, & calendars to their mobile devices
Spam Filtering:
- Set Preferences - the ability to control your domain spam settings or individual mailbox settings such as spam handling
- Edit Blacklists - control domain or individual mailbox blacklists settings
- Edit Safelists - control domain or individual mailbox blacklists settings
- Blacklists / Safelists - search for users on Blacklists or Safelists
Reports:
- Domain Details - a summary of your domain services and products
- Mailbox Details - a summary of your domains mailboxes
- Mail Forwarding - the ability to see which mailboxes on your domains have forwards
- Email Statistics - statistics regarding email traffic, spam, and IMAP connectivity.
Upgrades:
- Email Hosting - upgrade your services with Rackspace email
- Cloud Drive & Server Backup - add the Cloud Drive and Server Backup services to your domain
- Sharepoint - enable your free 250mb of the Sharepoint service for your domain.
Support:
- Rackspace Email Support - a self serving knowledge base to seek help on Email & Apps products
- Support Tickets - manage and view your support tickets
- Troubleshooting Tools - helpful tools such as a DNS checker and header analyzer
My Account
The My account section allows users to Manage their Invoice History, Manage Administrators and find General Information. Below is a News and Alerts banner that will display any scheduled maintenances occurring and a System Status Update.

By selecting the More option, you'll be presented with more options to view Company Contacts, API Access Keys,Administrative Activity, Service Summary etc. We recommend getting familiar with all the features so you can utilize the product to its full potential.

Company Information:
- General Information - manage your account contact information and credit card information
- Contacts - manage your accounts contact information such as phone number and permissions
- Invoice History - manage and view past/present account invoices
- Unpaid Invoices - view your unpaid invoices
- Service Summary - a summary of your billed services
- Pending Cancellations - view any pending cancellation requests
Administrators:
- View Current Admins - view your current domains administrators
- Add Administrator - add a new domain administrator
- Administrator Activity - view your administrators past activity
- Generate API Keys - generate your API access key for your domain
Support:
- Documentation: self service support documentation on our products
- Support Tickets: manage and view your current and past support tickets
- Feedback - an option to provide feedback for our services
Domains
The Domains service section allows users to access your domains DNS Settings, Add Disclaimers, View Domain Details and set Spam Filtering.

By selecting the More option, you'll brought to another landing page that includes more options like Split Domain Routing, Migrations, Catch-All Adress and the Email Everyone feature. We recommend getting familiar with all the features so you can utilize the product to it's full potential.

Manage:
- Domain Details - Domain Details - a summary of your domain services and products
- DNS Settings - manage and view your domain's DNS settings
- Email Archiving - a service that will archive all incoming and outgoing email for your domain
- Global Access Rights - the ability to grant or disable access for POP or IMAP connections
Spam Filtering:
- Set Preferences - the ability to control your domain spam settings or individual mailbox settings such as spam handling
- Edit Blacklists - control domain or individual mailbox blacklists settings
- Edit Safelists - control domain or individual mailbox blacklists settings
- Blacklists / Safelists - search for users on Blacklists or Safelists

- Catch All Address - add a mailbox to capture any incoming mail sent to an address that doesn't exist on your domain
- Migrations - setup new migrations for migrating company data from a previous hosting provider
Support
The Support section allows users to utilize the support documents for the most common questions as well the ability to View / Create Tickets if you ever need assistance.

Upon selecting the View / Create Ticket option, you'll brought to another landing page that includes the ability to create a new ticket, view past tickets and sort through any past tickets as well:
