Changing the Windows Firewall Settings (Windows 2003)

Note:  Rackspace no longer offers Cloud Servers with Windows 2003, but these instructions are here for legacy support purposes.

Windows 2003

Click on Start > Control Panel > Windows Firewall

This will open the Windows Firewall dialog box below. The General settings will allow you to turn the firewall on and off as well as disallow any exceptions.

Click on the Exceptions tab in order to set up exceptions for traffic via port or program. There are a few that are already there and you may select or deselect these as you wish.
