Company Leverages Multiple Hosting Solutions to Help Ensure 24/7 Availability of Support Technology

SAN ANTONIO – December 15, 2008 – Rackspace® Hosting, (NYSE: RAX), the world’s leader and specialist in hosted IT services, today announced an agreement to provide IT hosting services to SupportSoft Inc., (NASDAQ: SPRT), a leading provider of software and services that make technology work.

Under the agreement, Rackspace is providing a Windows-based web environment that runs on a heterogeneous hosting model consisting of a Platform and Managed Hosting combination. Created as a unique alternative to colocation, Platform Hosting gives users the control to manage all aspects of their hosting environment, with the added benefit of managed hardware and network infrastructure. Managed Hosting provides users with a fully managed offering, which includes 24x7x365 technology and service support.

SupportSoft develops software that automates the resolution of IT problems through proactive, self-healing and assisted service technology. For more than 10 years, they’ve helped ensure that technology critical to businesses — and their customers— works as planned. Their best-in-class, scalable solutions are designed to enable both end users and analysts to detect, diagnose and correct problems at home, in the office or anywhere in between.
