Rackspace Performance Cloud Servers are available now in our Dallas region. That means you can leverage our new breed of Cloud Servers built specifically for exceptional levels of application performance in each of our three US regions – North Virginia (IAD), Chicago (ORD) and, as of today, Dallas (DFW).
Last week, we launched Rackspace Performance Cloud Servers, a new breed of cloud servers built to deliver exceptional levels of application performance, and made them available in our Northern Virginia (IAD) region. Hurricane Sandy is poised to pound the mid-Atlantic and Northeast today through Wednesday, with intense winds and torrential rains that could cause widespread power outages and floods, including in areas where Rackspace operates data centers. The teams at our Virginia facilities, and also at our headquarters in San Antonio, have been working round the clock to ensure that our customers' data remains safe and that they continue to receive the Fanatical Support that they've come to expect, even during what many forecasters predict will be a "perfect storm."
Rackspace customer and iconic beer maker Pabst Blue Ribbon (PBR) will take center stage this week in a webinar that highlights how it moved its applications from the data center to the Rackspace Cloud. For customers considering making the move to the cloud, this is a must-attend web event.
Rackspace now offers multiple region support for Cloud Files, a feature that allows our customers to select in which U.S. data center they would like to store content. Our Dallas and Chicago data centers are the first two data centers included in our multi region support. In other words, you can choose to store your data in our Chicago data center, Dallas data center, or in both regions. This new feature adds to our existing Cloud Servers capability to choose in which U.S. data center to build your Cloud Server.
