When the iPhone was first released, we jumped at the chance to develop a tool on this great new platform. This happened at the same time that we were really focusing on building up our relationship with Funambol. So what better way to do both, than to go to Italy for two weeks and work alongside their developers on the project?
In April 2008, that’s exactly what I did. I spent two weeks in Pavia, Italy discussing with Funambol how we can work more closely. At the same time, I worked with their team on the core code base of the Funambol iPhone client. The trip was amazing. Since then, we’ve continued to work closely with Funambol on new and old projects.
When I got back to Blacksburg, we set to work customizing the iPhone client for our own users. After many months, and intense coordination efforts with Apple, we’re finally ready to launch. This client is probably the easiest to use of all of our clients, and we are proud to give our valued customers the ability to sync their Noteworthy contacts directly with their iPhone or iPod Touch!
If you are a current customer using Noteworthy you can download the iPhone client from the App Store through iTunes or follow this link.

Launch: Sync for iPhone
This is great; however, the link leads to a Mailtrust/Noteworthy branded download.
What can I give my customers that does not have your name? I need something generic or something I can brand with my product name.
Thanks!

Do to Apple’s development policy with the App Store there are some challenges that we face regarding branding for our Resellers.
We are working with Apple to determine the best course of action.
As soon as we are able to determine the best solution we will contact you to explain further.
Sorry about the inconvenience Tracy
I was under the impression that this would also sync calendar entries, is that not the case? If not, will that be there in the future?
Apple actually does not allow Apps to access what they call private API’s. And the Calendar can only be access by a third party app through the private API.
Unfortunately this means we are unable to sync calender entries on the iPhone.
Hopefully Apple will change this in the future, at which point we could then update the app to support calendar entry sync.
Thanks for the update. I kinda figured this was the case. Nice work on the app though, contact sync is nice to have.
Thanks Brian. Our Sync team is really excited about launching it.
I tried the app. While the idea is good it appeared to put all my company contacts in my personal directory. I’m not sure if I did something wrong or not. In the details section of the settings the remote name is grayed out. It shows contacts-shared. Where my company directory is called, well, “company directory”. When I did the sync it put all my company contacts in my main folder. This could be because on my iphone I have add new contacts to Greg’s contacts.
Anyway, not exactly sure what the problem is, if it’s mine or the program, but after the first attempt it seems to need more work.
Thanks for the feedback Greg.
Just to let you know this is by design. The application is designed to merge you company directory and personal contacts on your mobile device, so you can access all of your contacts from one central location.
That being said we do appreciate the feedback and we will continue to use feedback to enhance products.
