As OpenStack Summit Atlanta fast approaches, we wanted to dig deeper into the past, present and future of OpenStack. In this video series, we hear straight from some of OpenStack’s community members from Rackspace about how the fast-growing open source project has evolved, what it needs to continue thriving and what it means to them personally.
In the video below, Chuck Thier, Rackspace Principal Engineer, talks about his journey working on Swift from the birth of OpenStack with the original Rackspace and Anso Labs team to the present day community.
“I’ve helped troubleshoot issues in our competitors clouds and helped competitors setup their OpenStack Swift clouds,” Thier said. “And I think that’s what’s so beautiful the community is us all working together so that our customers win. Everybody wins that way, right? And I think that is what makes OpenStack different.”
