Webinar: Restructure IT For Cloud Success

There’s a common myth that IT becomes obsolete when an enterprise adopts cloud technologies. This is not the case, however. Instead, the cloud gives IT the potential to become advisors to the business.

IT organizations are constrained by tight personnel, budget and time requirements. They are forced to do more with the same, or with less. But cloud computing is changing this paradigm. If managed correctly, the cloud can give IT back time and resources. The cloud allows IT to offload much of the day-to-day maintenance duties to a trusted service provider partner and spend more time and resources innovating and driving business value. In a cloud world, IT becomes an innovation engine and drives strategic business value.

Join us at 11 a.m. CST Wednesday, March 13 for the next installment of the Enterprise Cloud Forum, during which Vice President of Rackspace IT Operations Rich Murr and I will discuss “Restructuring Your IT Organization to Become a Profit Center in a Cloud World.”

Rich and I will highlight how to most effectively retool enterprise IT when adopting the cloud, not only as a technology, but also as a business model.

The conversation will dive into:

  • What an IT department should look like in a cloud world
  • How to reallocate internal IT resources after partnering with a service provider
  • How to turn IT into an innovation engine
  • How to assess your in house skill sets (skills to develop and new skills to hire)

During the webinar you will learn how to redefine, reorganize and revise roles and responsibilities to bring the most value to your business.

Register now for “Restructuring Your IT Organization to Become a Profit Center in a Cloud World.” And continue the conversation afterward on the Enterprise Cloud Forum on Linkedin.
