MongoDB is taking the database world by storm. And at 11 a.m. PST/1 p.m. CST Wednesday, February 12, we’re hosting a webinar during which we’ll highlight the fundamentals of ObjectRocket, Rackspace’s managed service for MongoDB, and hear from two Rackspace customers, Appboy and Untappd, as they share their stories of MongoDB on the cloud.
Register here for the webinar.
In this webinar, you will learn about Appboy’s and Untappd’s businesses, their applications, some of the performance and scale challenges their apps encountered, and how they solved them with MongoDB and ObjectRocket.
Jon Hyman, Appboy co-founder and CIO, will showcase how Appboy, an engagement platform for mobile apps, solved issues around pre-aggregated analytics and used statistical formulas on top of the aggregation framework to return results in real time as its data grew. Jon will also highlight how Appboy performed some workarounds for certain bugs.
Greg Avola, co-founder and developer at Untappd, a social network for beer lovers, will discuss how MongoDB and ObjectRocket helped Untappd address problems with serving its social feed and how it sustained high performance up to 5,000 to 6,000 queries per second, and used location indexes to enable geo-location search.
Joining Jon and Greg will be Kenny Gorman, ObjectRocket founder and Rackspace chief architect, and J.R. Arredondo, Rackspace director of product marketing. Kenny and J.R. will be available to answer your questions about MongoDB on the cloud and ObjectRocket.
This webinar is the first in a series that will focus on MongoDB and other data services. Following the webinar, you will have the opportunity to tell us what other areas you would like to explore throughout the series.
The webinar is scheduled for 11 a.m. PST/1 p.m. CST Wednesday, February 12. Register now to hear from two innovative app companies about their first-hand experiences with MongoDB and ObjectRocket.
