The Rackspace Startup Program

2

It’s no secret that Rackspace loves startups – we were one not too long ago. We are still committed to helping entrepreneurs succeed and drive the next generation of businesses through cloud innovation.  Now, with the Rackspace Startup Program, we’ll be providing one-on-one guidance and Cloud Compute resources to help power these startups to success.  And we’ll be helpful all along the way.

The Incubators

We’ve partnered with leading startup accelerators and incubators such as 500 Startups, TechStars, Y Combinator and General Assembly to providing cloud computing resources to their participating startups.

Dave McClure, Founder of 500 Startups

“A lot of folks don’t understand that Rackspace is actually a startup success story – they grew from a 10 person startup to a leading cloud player, so they understand what it takes to succeed. Fortunately for the tech community, Rackspace continues to invest in entrepreneurs by providing compute power to hundreds of startups.”

The Startups

Many startups are using our Cloud today.  Companies like SwebApps and Freshbooks have grown their business from the ground up and continue to see success. David Stein, founder of Dubset, a General Assembly startup, quotes:

“The Rackspace Cloud allows us to stream music while accurately tracking what gets played—which we believe is the future of music consumption. The Cloud is key to the success of our company: our costs are low and we never have to worry about our Cloud Servers.”

We hope to see more startups like Dubset build on our Cloud.

Dubset + Rackspace Cloud + node.js === #win. Here’s some of the open source API libraries we helped contributed to make it happen:
