We recorded Tech Cloud Cast, Episode 2, last week with Major Hayden and Robert Collazo. In addition to the audio, we did a video, embedded below.

In this episode, we cover:

1- How is data stored for Cloud Servers?
2- How can you secure your private interface?
3 -What is Deploy-itron? (http://deploy.collazo.ws/)
4- Intro to Professional Services

Thanks to all that submitted your questions. We hope that you find this information useful. We’ll be recording Tech Cloud Cast, Episode 3,  in a few weeks. Please submit your questions in the comments below or send to podcast@rackspacecloud.com. We always look forward to hearing your feedback!

When will Rackspace cloud servers have AMIs like Amazon? I love the ease by which I can backup my servers but I’d love to download and/or share the images I make.

Re backup – Why wasn’t there a mention of the scheduled imaging backup? Is this a feature that is not recommended, or going away, or simply not quite ready yet?

From my point of view, it is extremely convenient and important (not to mention it is free – for now?) and solves a bunch of problems. It is in fact one of the major reasons why we chose Rackspacecloud.
