Like all Rackspace locations, our Blacksburg, Va. location (affectionately called “Racksburg”) has a very distinct energy. It has its own unique culture.
If there’s one thing all Rackers agree on, it’s that no two days at the office are alike when you work at Rackspace.
It was another typical (or is that not-so-typical?) Friday here at Rackspace. We had another class of graduating Rookies – and a celebration welcoming them to the Rack. We had celebrated Food Truck Friday, during which several food trucks come to our Castle headquarters at lunch. And we kicked off a bowling fundraiser supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters. And that’s not all.
The arrival of the StartupBus to Rackspace’s Castle headquarters – and the more than 150 coders, designers and marketers that were aboard – signaled the start of SXSW Interactive activities for Rackspace.
Rackspace has earned a global reputation as one of the top places to work. In the UK specifically, Rackspace has been ranked among the Sunday Times’ best places to work for seven years running.
Rackspace stormed Cloud Expo in Santa Clara, Calif. this week to spread the message of the open cloud. From a riveting keynote from CTO John Engates and numerous Racker-led sessions, to two expo floor booths promising an immersive open cloud experience; Rackspace turned Cloud Expo into the Open Cloud Expo.
Two years ago, Rackspace made the massive commitment to be the open alternative in cloud computing. That vision is now a reality.
This week, the Open Compute Summit 2012 stormed The Castle, Rackspace’s San Antonio headquarters.
From the launch of the Rackspace Cloud powered by OpenStack to day one of the OpenStack Design Summit & Conference, Rackspace on Monday took the City by the Bay by storm and made San Francisco the world’s open cloud headquarters.
It seems Fridays spark jubilation here at Rackspace, and March 9 was no exception: The day was bookended by a pair of major celebrations, each highlighting new beginnings.
