Yesterday, we announced our participation in the Open Compute Project[1], an open-source community that will accelerate the innovation of next-generation data center infrastructure and hardware. To kick-start the project, Facebook[2] is contributing their specifications and designs for an impressive new energy-efficient data center.
This project will enable innovative collaboration in the areas of infrastructure efficiency, energy conservation and new technology integration. This is a big opportunity for Rackspace and our customers as it’s aligned with our commitment to open standards.
