_dsc5833_webMosso | The Rackspace Cloud[1] may focus on the future when it comes to Cloud hosting, but we do not overlook the importance of history.  Familiarity with history can, as we all know, enable individuals and groups of people to appreciate and improve their circumstances and the circumstances of those around them.  This makes us all the more proud to introduce you to our most recent Spotlight on the Cloud, Mrs. Rory Siefer.  Rory, inspired by the stories of her grandparents, launched TexanBiographer.com[2] in 2003 to help families throughout the US remember and document their family stories, photos, and memorabilia in beautifully-bound leather books.

As a professional family biographer Rory crisscrosses the country, working with clients of all ages and backgrounds. She devotes herself to capturing a lifetime of stories and old photographs and transforming them into a beautiful biography to share with family members for generations to come.  “It’s a great job because I have the chance to make sure that these stories will always be enjoyed by their loved ones,” explains Rory. “I take what could be considered a daunting task of recording a lifetime of memories, and make it a fun and easy process.”  In the end, Rory leaves families with a full-color book, professionally bound in genuine leather, and filled to the brim with hundreds of stories and photographs.  “It’s all worth it when I get to see the family’s reaction to the completed biography,” shares Rory, “… not a dry eye in the house!”

As a Mosso customer for the past three years, Rory most appreciates the peace of mind that she gains from knowing that her site can withstand all of the press that she has quickly been amassing; “We’ve had a chance to get some great PR through the years and I’ve never had to worry about our site going down because of a big influx of visitors.  Mosso has always been able to support my site and make sure it’s up and running when I need it most.”  Not to mention the support she gets in between press bursts; “As a small business owner, I have gone through many variations of the website.  I’m constantly tweaking it with new marketing ideas. Along with those changes come the issues of making sure everything is up and running correctly.  I have had all too many late night chats with Mosso’s great support staff, making sure that an old site redirects correctly, or checking to make sure a form will process the right way.  I am always impressed with the customer service I receive – especially on some of the more technical issues.”

“To sum it all up,” says Rory, “I’m so glad that I’ve had the chance to ‘grow up’ as a company with Mosso.  They were there to help me when I was just a small fry with simple needs and they are still here to help me as I grow my business to the next level. This is just one less thing I will have to worry about – and, to me, that is priceless!”
