One Racker’s Major League Journey

Rackspace Product Manager Grant Herbon is using his sabbatical to take a nationwide trip to hit 15 Major League Baseball games in 45 days. The trek will take him 9,300 miles. And in the process he’s raising money for Windcrest Little League (donate here: http://windcrestbaseball.org/donations/[1]). Herbon is calling it Le Tour De Baseball 2012[2]. You can follow Herbon on his personal blog[3].

Cloud Servers Supports CentOS 6.3, FreeBSD 9

Rackspace last week announced that Cloud Servers now supports CentOS 6.3 and FreeBSD 9[4], two operating systems that give customers another powerful choice for their cloud infrastructure.

Customers Regain Control With Fanatical Support On The Open Cloud

In a recent column in The Atlantic, author and venture advisor Bill Davidow highlighted how the high-tech industry has lost its way when it comes to customer service. He said the service focus of the high-tech pioneers who helped build the industry has faded. With Fanatical Support on the open cloud[6], Rackspace is bucking this trend and putting customers back in the driver’s seat.
