In the past six months, we’ve published the OpenStack Security Guide, launched our complimentary Rackspace Cloud Migration Services and migrated nearly 200 servers from our IAD data center to our DFW data center. We’ve had a strong first half of the year, and it’s safe to say that we’re just beginning. You can check out what we’ve been up to in this week’s edition of the Rackspace Weekly Digest.
Customers Say Hybrid Cloud Is The Future, Rackspace Survey Finds
We’ve heard from our customers that while the public cloud is great, it isn’t right for every application or workload. In our most recent Rackspace Hybrid Cloud Survey, we found that more and more US and UK enterprises are turning to the hybrid cloud to overcome the limitations of a public cloud-only infrastructure. For 60 percent of respondents, a hybrid infrastructure is the culmination of their cloud journey – it is their future.
Servers Take To The Sky For Data Center Migration
Part of our promise to you is that we protect your servers – when they are physically in our data centers, and when they’re 30,000 feet in the air. This past weekend, we conquered land and sky to successfully migrate nearly 200 white boxes from our IAD data center to our DFW data center. The migration allows us to consolidate operations into larger, more cost- and energy-efficient data centers.
