October brings us United Nations Day; celebrated internationally for the purpose of informing the people of the world as to the aims, goals and achievements of the UN. You can join the global movement to end hunger on October 16 during World Food Day. In 1931, World Animal Day was started at a convention of ecologists in Florence as a way of highlighting the plight of endangered species. And, in the words of Robert Frost, “O hushed October morning mild, thy leaves have ripened to the fall.”
Within the startup movement, there are plenty of events happening globally in October 2012.
