November brings us Election Day in the United States. More than 125 countries will officially participate in Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) November 12through November 18. GEW offers nations opportunities to fuel a more robust startup culture, and gain exposure to entrepreneurs and programs outside their countries. The Jewish holiday Hanukkah (sometimes spelled Chanukah), begins in November and spans eight days of celebrating the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem. And in the words of Guns N’ Roses from the song November Rain “So never mind the darkness, we still can find a way, ‘cause nothin’ lasts forever, even cold November rain.”
Within the startup movement, there are plenty of events happening globally in November 2012. The Rackspace Startup Program is here to keep you up to date with valuable information on events and happenings inside the global startup community. Startups…get involved with the movement and participate in an event in your community. There is no better time than now to build or strengthen your network. Networking with other entrepreneurs allows you to form and maintain a strong circle of contacts that will serve you well for years to come. If you are an entrepreneur with a new idea in cloud computing, an application that makes people’s lives better or the next big thing online, drop the Space Cowboys a note and let us know about it. The Rackspace Startup Program looks forward to hearing all about it!
