Rackspace Startup Program Global Startup Event Guide: August 2014

August brings us Dream Day on the 28th, inspired by the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s “I Have a Dream” speech from 1963. IBM unveiled its first Personal Computer this month in 1981. The 42nd President of the United States, Bill Clinton; chef and TV star Julia Child; The Star Spangled Banner lyricist Francis Scott Key; and professional wrestler Hulk Hogan were all born in August. And in the words of singer, songwriter Garth Brooks, “That smell of freshly cut grass makes me think of Friday night football in high school. The cutting of the grass reminds me of the August practice.”

Within the startup movement, there are plenty of events happening globally in August 2014. The Rackspace Startup Program is here to keep you up to date with valuable information on events and happenings inside the global startup community.
