Rackspace Salutes Startup America

Facebook[3] yesterday played host to President Barack Obama in a town hall interview[4] conducted live through the social network. The “Shared Responsibility and Shared Prosperity” interview focused heavily on the economy and, beyond serving as a watershed moment for social media, could be one of the only times Mark Zuckerberg has been seen wearing a tie.
Following the discussion with President Obama, Startup America Partnership hosted a panel about entrepreneurship and innovation. Startup America announced $400 million of new commitments[5] from companies including Google[6], LinkedIn[7], Microsoft, [8]Intuit[9] and HP[10].
Rackspace respects the importance of bringing startups and businesses together. Our commitment to this cause was the inspiration behind the Rackspace Startup Program[11].
