With our recently launched managed cloud, we alleviate operations headaches for our customers and deliver myriad proactive services to ensure their cloud runs smoothly. We do this with our award-winning Fanatical Support, which lets customers focus on their core business without the headache of becoming experts in dozens of complex and fast-changing cloud technologies. The managed cloud now includes two distinct managed service levels for our public cloud, a new developer+ program, a restructured pricing model and new Support SLAs.
Instead of forcing customers to do it all themselves, or manage multiple infrastructure and support providers, our managed cloud makes computing simple. It provides customers economies of expertise. We handle their computing, storage, networks and operating systems, along with the complex tools and applications, like databases and ecommerce platforms, that run on top of that infrastructure. We offer 24×7 access to cloud engineers, scaling help, DevOps automation, code assistance and much more.
This lets our customers stay fast and lean and focus their scarce developer talent on building their app, instead of swelling their payroll with engineers to manage IT that doesn’t differentiate their business. One of our customers, Kabbee, has said that it would have had to hire at least six engineers to match the 24×7 coverage it receives from Rackspace. Another customer, DigitalFilm Tree, said it would have to pay an engineer $100,000 per year to match the level of service Rackspace managed cloud provides.
We believe our expertise and laser-focus have earned us spots as a leader in the 2014 Gartner Magic Quadrants for Cloud-Enabled Managed Hosting for North America and Europe. Gartner published separate assessments for each market and ranked Rackspace as a leader in both based on our ability to execute and completeness of vision. These Magic Quadrants focus on the service layer on top of cloud infrastructure, rather than solely on the infrastructure itself. That’s where our managed cloud focus fits perfectly.

For the past two consecutive years we’ve been recognized by Gartner as a leader in the Magic Quadrant for Managed Hosting, North America, and today we’re pleased to be named a leader in the first Magic Quadrants that specifically examine cloud-enabled managed hosting providers.
