Motivated by the economic downturn?  You’re not alone. 16 of the Dow Jones 30 companies were launched in a recession or depression, including Microsoft, MTV, HP, Disney, IBM, and Proctor & Gamble.

TiE, the world’s largest organization for entrepreneurs and professionals, hosts the annual TiEcon[1], the largest convention in the world dedicated to entrepreneurs.  TiEcon 2009 has tailored its program especially to arm the BOLD entrepreneur with the tools, insights, connections, and inspiration to launch a business, grow a team, or join a budding startup in this challenging economic climate.

imageOur very own Emil Sayegh, general manager of The Rackspace Cloud[2], will be presenting on the panel “Internet Infrastructure – Building an Internet Company for $50K: The Cloud Changes Everything,” Friday, May 15th at 11:45.

Emil is very friendly, approachable, and loves to talk cloud computing.  Be sure to stop by afterwards, say hello and get your questions answered!

Register for the two-day conference before May 12, and save $150!
