Rackers Prepare For Drone Games At SXSW

A team of Rackers has put its programming skills to work on a super-secret project to get ready for the Drone Games[1] tomorrow as part of SXSW Interactive[2].

Known as “Project Yada Yada,” the team hopes to build on prior winning entries in the robotic helicopter drone competition. While a lot of fun, team member Jordan Rinke says the project shows the value of open source and may even produce new ways for Rackspace to operate.

Check out their preparation, including some wild on-board barrel roll video,  below.

We plan to follow the team tomorrow and see how they do!

Drone Games is just one of many events Rackspace is participating in around SXSW Interactive 2013[3]. And if you want to find us on Twitter, be sure to keep an eye on the hash-tag #SXRackspace[4].
