Operating An OpenStack Powered Private Cloud [Video]

What to know what goes into running an OpenStack powered private cloud? Well, you’re in luck. Last week, we hosted “Behind the Curtain: Operating an OpenStack Powered Private Cloud,” a webinar during which we dug into the components that allow Rackspace to offer and operate Rackspace Private Cloud Software in an as-a-Service model.

During the webinar, Jeremy Hopkins, Technical Product Manager for Rackspace Private Cloud Software, and I (Niki Acosta, Cloud Evangelista), highlighted how the OpenStack code process works; how we take turn that code into products in a dual agile process; how Rackspace optimizes staffing and support models; considerations for operating your own OpenStack powered private cloud; and how Rackspace Private Cloud helps you find the right mix of control and expertise.

We received great feedback, as well as some comments that our viewers wanted deeper technical content, so we’re working to deliver that! In the meantime, if you have questions or comments, please leave them below, or reach out to me on Twitter @nikiacosta.
