MongoDB Makes Storing Data Easy

We recently caught up with Chris Lalonde, Co-Founder of ObjectRocket, to talk about MongoDB and ObjectRocket’s MongoDB database-as-a-service solution. Here are excerpts from that interview.

Speed of development and time to market are critical factors for an application’s success. Perhaps that’s why MongoDB is the fastest growing NoSQL database alternative. There are no up-front schemas to map out and deploying the MongoDB software is a matter of a few lines of code.

Chris pointed out that when databases were first invented, they were targeted for organizations that were doing more stodgy tasks like banking or inventory tracking. Fast forward to the present – and open source has empowered millions of developers and millions of apps, from the trivial (such as the wine app that Chris developed, and which circuitously led to the idea of ObjectRocket[1]) to critical enterprise business apps. In the process, ideas around databases have changed fundamentally, leading to the NoSQL revolution.

ObjectRocket fine-tunes hardware to get the highest performance out of MongoDB. Find out how easy it is to get started with ObjectRocket[2] today.
