Launch: Webmail Mobile Version 1.2

In the last month, we’ve released versions 1.1 and 1.2 of Webmail Mobile. Here are the main features we’ve added:
1. Delete button
2. Ability to CC, BCC users when composing email
3. Ability to move messages between folders
4. Check email button
5. Ability to forward attachments
6. Ability to include previous messages in replies
7. Forwarded messages and replies are recognized in webmail
8. Ability to reply-all to email messages
9. Added a ‘Next’ link on the read-mail pages
10. Got rid of cookies (better support for more phones now)
11. Added ‘Remember Me’ functionality on the login
12. URLs are now links
13. Released private label versions of Webmail Mobile
14. Added ‘Mark as New’ capabilities to email messages
15. Ability to view task lists

Pat Matthews is the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development at Rackspace. Prior to Rackspace, Pat founded Webmail.us, a business email hosting company that made Inc. magazine's list of the fastest-growing private companies in America. In 2007 Rackspace acquired Webmail.us and the two businesses joined forces. From 2007 to 2009, Pat led the Rackspace mail business and helped grow it to more than two million paid mailboxes worldwide.

In January 2010, Pat was promoted to Vice President and General Manager of all Rackspace cloud businesses. In this role he led Rackspace to become one of the most important companies in the cloud computing industry. He was promoted to Senior Vice President of Cloud at Rackspace in August of 2010.

Today, Pat oversees corporate development, which includes M&A, investment projects, new business initiatives and strategic partnerships.

Pat is a graduate of Virginia Tech. He is an angel investor and advisor in several startup companies. Pat and his family live in San Antonio, TX.

    I found out about this mobile mail feature when I borrowed a wi-fi smart-phone to get internet access while traveling in late December.  It was a very nice surprise.
