You may have noticed recently that we’ve updated our name to “Mosso | The Rackspace Cloud.” While the new name proudly displays our Rackspace heritage and connections, enough concern about the name change has come up from our customers that we decided it was worth the effort to revisit our rebranding one more time. Branding is difficult, and you don’t always get it completely right the first time. The team has worked extremely hard on the naming project, though, and we are very pleased to share the results with you.
Starting today, we’re transitioning from Mosso® | The Rackspace Cloud to ®.
“We’re really excited about ,” said Jonathan Bryce, Co-founder. “It really says a lot about our vision, our culture, and our position in next generation hosting. When you see , you can’t help but think about The Cloud. And while the cloud concept is very clearly defined in the market, makes it just that much clearer.”
“Folks struggled to pronounce the Mosso name,” added Todd Morey (the other co-founder). “There was quite a bit of confusion: long ‘O’? Short ‘O’? removes that confusion. It sort of rolls right off of your tongue. . It’s fun to say.”
