International Rescue Committee Assesses Cloud Readiness with Rackspace Advisory Services

Since 1933, The International Rescue Committee (IRC)[1] has served the needs of refugees around the world. This philanthropic work brings IRC to some of the most remote and challenging parts of the globe where environmental and technical issues often prevent these heroes from accessing email and other mission critical applications.

IRC wanted to evaluate cloud computing[2] technology for their business, but didn’t have the resources or know-how. That’s when IRC called the Rackspace Advisory Services[3] team to conduct a Cloud Readiness Assessment. After review of IRC’s current application portfolio, consultative sessions and multi-dimensional analysis, Rackspace’s Advisory Services team provided a concrete recommendation which helped IRC decide which strategy was best for their unique technology needs.

Why Rackspace?

“They really began to understand my business and my unique challenges, and that’s unusual! If that’s Fanatical Support®[4], then I am all for it.”
-David Goodman, CTO, International Rescue Committee
