6

If you’re like most of us, the headache of managing your email inbox is the last thing you need. You just need it to “work.” You don’t need to worry about deleting mail to stay under your storage limit, how you’re going to send a big attachment to a colleague, accessing mail while on the go or potential spam and phishing attempts that may compromise your email. And you certainly don’t want to spend time learning a new interface; you just need Outlook to work the same as it always has.

Our latest email offering solves these problems. Rackspace Hosted Exchange 2013, which is now in Early Access, gives you BIG mailboxes and BIG attachments all with the Fanatical Support you expect. Hosted Exchange 2013 includes:

  • 100 GB mailboxes
  • 50 MB attachments
  • Premium, multi-level spam and virus protection
  • ActiveSync integration for iPhones, Android devices and Windows Mobile
  • Directory Synchronization
  • An unlimited number of free Resource Mailboxes, Distribution Lists and Public Folders
  • Seamless Outlook integration
  • 100% uptime SLA*

We expect Rackspace Hosted Exchange 2013 to be in General Availability in the first quarter of 2014 so we ask Early Access participants to provide feedback on on-boarding, performance and your overall experience using the product. Exchange 2013 Early Access is a paid service. Volume pricing is also available.

And I haven’t been able to receive or access my e-mail since…

    • Brooke Jackson

Hi Dale, Can you email me with the details of what’s happening? brooke.jackson at rackspace. Your account is not on Exchange 2013 so you shouldn’t be experiencing any issues related to that. Send me your info and lets get things fixed ASAP.

Is the Exchange 2013 service going to cost any more when it is generally available or will it continue at the same cost as the current service. We don’t really need most of the features described but better spam management would be attractive.

    • Brooke Jackson

Hi William, Exchange 2013 will cost the same as the current service.

  • thatguyontheblog

is there any plan to make your prices more competitive with Microsoft? they have a hosted exchange 2k13 offering for $4/month. your pricing right now is 2.5X theirs…

    • Brooke Jackson

Hello, our Exchange 2013 offer has some great benefits versus competitive offers such as Fanatical Support (you can contact a US based Support Racker 24x7x365 for any help you need), unmatached and financially backed uptime and 3 layers of spam/virus filtering. If you’re comparing prices, make sure you take into account setup fees, migration fees, and costs for things such as resource mailboxes, public folders, distribution lists and disclaimers; all things Rackspace includes in our Exchange offer. Please contact me if you’d like to discuss further @thatguyontheblog:disqus, happy to do so. (brooke.jackson at rackspace.com)
