You are pouring a sizeable portion of your life into building a world-class product. Amid the stress and passion of building out new features and fixes, it is important to also develop the discipline of automated testing and configuration management. Here’s why:
SXSW Interactive officially kicked off on Friday, but Rackspace had reason to celebrate Thursday night with a packed pool deck full of partners and customers at the W Hotel in Austin. It was there we unveiled our commitment to specialize in content, commerce and mobile with the launch party for our Rackspace Digital practice. Partygoers enjoyed great company, hors d’oeuvres, libations, music mixes, great visuals, cool swag and the chance to learn about our plans in the digital space from Rackspace specialists. It was truly a night that will be talked about long after SXSW is over.
The incredible networking opportunity is a key reason thousands of digital creatives flock to Austin for SXSW every year. There’s a certain rhyme and rhythm to making the most out of your ‘fest experience—and if you don’t have a clear strategy for success, you risk losing out on life-changing connections.
Last night I kicked off SXSW at Capital Factory (@capitalfactory) with the Rackspace Startup Program and ObjectRocket as stops on the Austin Startup Crawl (@ATXstartupcrawl). It was AWESOME. There were so many great companies to visit and everyone who stopped by the booths was building something.
Shredding riffs and bleeding edge technology will collide during SXSW next week as the Geeklist-powered Slashathon hackathon marries hacks and axe to build the next great music app.
If there’s one thing we’re passionate for at Rackspace, it’s people.

The 12th Annual Southern California Linux Expo (SCALE 12x) kicks off Friday at the Hilton Los Angeles Airport, and Rackspace will be there hosting informative workshops and holding a contest to see if you’ve got what it takes to fix a broken server.
