This is a huge, exciting week for the SharePoint community. We have all joined together and gathered as one group in the heart of Sin City — Las Vegas — for the 2012 SharePoint Conference. Imagine 10,000 SharePoint enthusiasts all together in one place. The excitement has been high and the social media has been buzzing, especially as we started to trend in the No. 1 position during the keynote presentation. During the presentation, where Microsoft executives discussed a host of new features in SharePoint 2013, there were two key components that really jumped out to me:

Microsoft’s SharePoint Conference 2012 has officially begun! Sunday night was the big expo hall opening reception at the Mandalay Bay Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas.

At this year’s SharePoint Conference, which runs from November 12 through November 15 in Las Vegas, the Rackspace team plans to hit the ground running to help you get the most out of the experience. There will be 20 of us onsite at the conference to make sure we are your source for all things SharePoint!  Even if you aren’t able to make it to Vegas this year, you can still count on us to bring you information from the front lines through various posts, tweets and webcasts. Here’s where you can find us this week. Be sure to take note and add the times to your calendars now!

Things are really starting to rock and roll here at Rackspace with the launch of great new cloud computing products; and we’re working hard to continue to give you superior Fanatical Support. We’re also excited to continue hosting our virtual Q&A sessions, bringing industry thought leaders right to your desktop through our interactive SharePoint Tuesday events. We want to make it easier for you to install SharePoint on the Rackspace Cloud. To do that, we’ve released two SharePoint 2010 images in the Cloud Control Panel.

It’s been a BIG summer here at Rackspace for all of our SharePoint-focused people. In July, Microsoft announced and demoed a whole fleet of new and improved products.
